Description
Nuremberg is the largest city in Franconia, South Germany, and it's often regarded as the capital of this region, even though the status is not official. The city is built on the river Pegnitz, and, as a result, it's got multiple bridges connecting the two banks. Many of these bridges are beautiful, but none as beautiful and quirky as the one adjacent to the Weinstadel, one of Nuremberg's most prominent landmarks. It was built as barn for storing wine (hence the name) back in the Middle Ages, but it's been used for a variety of purposes since then, including a poorhouse, a weaving house and a student accomodation.

I had taken almost this precise picture years ago when I'd visited Nuernberg, and had long since lost it. I wish I could say that I remember mine being quite this good though --- it wasn't. The lighting here is perfect! Thank you for sharing it.
